6 Month Update- my intuition and first impression of Dr. Hacker was dead on. He has done the healing work himself to really show up and care for patients and connect to what they need and he is the kind of man who seems to live out his values everyday in his work. He even went above and beyond and tested my vitamins which they didn't even do at the Psychiatric Hospital in 2013. I've "graduated" to needing to see him less often and that's a first for me in my journey. My advice to anyone battling this stuff is trust the process, trust yourself, and trust Dr. Hacker that you will be able to navigate it together and figure it out. You are the expert on you and he is the expert on Meds and together there is a solution for whatever you are battling.
I haven't even had my first appointment and I can already tell he's gonna be a good fit. I was so hurt/traumatized/abandoned after my last Psyche terminated me without first transferring care (I reported them to medical board for unethical behavior and they terminated me next day). I just spent an hour today on phone with him trying to help him understand my case and if he could help me. The man is Sharp as a tack and there isnt a thing I said he challenged/put down/didnt understand. He understood everything I was saying and then was able to add information in addition to help me better understand. KINDNESS. The man radiates kindness and steadiness. I've been to probably 15-20 different doctors in last 3 months trying to understand why my immune system was tanking and I wasnt able to handle psyche medicine. I walked into conversation feeling defensive and hurt and walked out feeling validated and heard. He radiates confidence and kindness and isn't thrown off by you asking questions or challenging things that don't make sense. He's an Army vet who's been doing this a LONG time. I look forward to bringing all of my medical records and having him help me understand what's going on and how to handle my body having immune reactions to the psyche meds I so desperately need. I will update more after first appointment.

Treatment begins with an induction phase of twice-weekly sessions for the first four weeks. This transitions to a maintenance phase of once-weekly sessions through week eight, followed by ongoing care of one treatment every one to two weeks. Your plan will be customized to your individual progress and goals.
Each session takes place in our clinical setting under direct medical supervision. You will self-administer the nasal spray under provider guidance and then remain in our care for a monitoring period of approximately two hours. You will need a trusted person to drive you home, as you will not be able to drive yourself after treatment.
This FDA-approved treatment is covered by many major insurance plans, including Medicare. Coverage and prior authorization requirements vary by plan, so we encourage you to reach out to our team and we will help verify your benefits before your first appointment.
This treatment is designed for adults with treatment-resistant depression, meaning those who have tried two or more antidepressants without adequate relief. Our clinical team will conduct a thorough evaluation of your medical history and current condition to determine whether this is the right path forward for you.
